Judge Dismissed Albuquerque Man's Case
A
judge has dismissed the case against Albuquerque man named Francisco Almeida,
accused of murdering another man in his ex-girlfriend's home two years ago.
Almeida was accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's house and shooting
Allen Sandoval to death in January 2022. His trial began on Monday but was
dismissed on Wednesday. Judge Cindy Leos claimed investigators withheld
evidence from Almeida's lawyers, which was disclosed in court for the first

state can refile the charges. Almeida was released from custody after the
charges were dismissed.
